 Letter

Thank you for this 50-year relationship.

You built a movement as a gift for Black people, our people, to be identified, supported, and exposed to opportunities inside and outside our neighborhoods.

There wasn’t a strong positive presence of us in the media. But we knew the truth because we lived it. The laughs, the cries, the joys, the happiness, and everything in-between was the unseen beauty the world did not acknowledge.

Now, not only are we seen, because of your commitment, we’re thriving. Black people are leaving legacies, building communities, and running the show.

Your friends, family, and longtime partners at Burrell thank you for doing it for the culture.
